This week Ekta talks to Ahsaki Báá LaFrance-Chachere, Founder and CEO of Ah-Shi Beauty. Ah-Shi Beauty is the first Native American owned and operated luxury skincare and cosmetics brand. LaFrance-Chachere grew up in Arizona and attended the University of Arizona as a Pre-Med student. She fell in love with the science of cosmetics and foundations in particular and wanted to create a line that is healthy for the skin yet has a flawless finish. What pushed her to create this beauty line was because she found as a woman of color that there wasn’t enough representation in foundation ranges or representation of women of color in cosmetics as a whole.
She created her foundation which took six years to make because of her passion to perfect the formula and the shade range, her brand Ah-Shi encases the essence of beauty and enhances authentic features and colors.
