Alina Pimkina-Mehrle, Co-Founder of AMEŌN Skin, Podcast Summary
This week Ekta talks to Alina Pimkina-Mehrle, the Co-Founder of Ameōn Skin. Alina is a breast cancer survivor whose skin was damaged by chemotherapy treatments. “Three years ago, when I was thirty, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a life changing moment in my life. No one in my family had cancer, I knew a lot of people were affected by cancer but when it’s not in your inner circle, you can’t feel it. I lost my hair, my skin and nails were really damaged and bad. For thirty years old, it was very devastating.” (Mehrle).
She created this skincare brand to battle the issues she and millions of others struggle with daily. “Then, at the age of thirty, a breast cancer diagnosis changed my life. Breast cancer, chemo, a double mastectomy, fear and doubt break you down but they also give you an opportunity to build yourself back up.” (ameonskin.com).
All of Ameōn’s products helped Alina heal her skin after her treatments, however this brand isn’t her only job. Before launching this skincare brand, Alina was an architect, working for a design company.
