This week Ekta talks to Allyson Welch, the Founder of THYRST Beauty/Skincare. Welch talks about her background in Architecture and how she got into beauty. She found herself unhappy in her field, and a feeling of becoming burnt out from the long work days and the tiring struggle and came to this realization. “I don’t want to work for people anymore, I want to work for myself” (Welch).

In 2016, she started her journey into this industry and through her adult struggle with acne, she wanted to create a line that took care of that. Welch came up with the
idea for THYRST one night on the phone with a friend and wanted to focus the line on hydration. Welch definitely is a creative persona and has a great eye for design and has managed to balance a career change and becoming her own boss with integrity and wit.
