Angela Caglia, Founder of Angela Caglia Skincare and Facialist, Podcast Summary
This week Ekta talks to Angela Caglia, Skin Expert and Founder of Angela Caglia Skincare. Angela is a facialist and found her passion for facials on a trip to Paris she went on in her early 20’s. Skincare and skin health is very integral to French culture, and Angela was surrounded by it during her trip. “I was mesmerized by how much French women care for their skin, it was almost like going to the dentist. It’s just something they do, they go and get facials, and they start at like 13 years old.” (Caglia).
Angela talks about her experience with her customers and being pushed to promote and sell products she didn’t believe in, as well as the standards of skincare and beauty in today’s market and society. “I learned so much about skin, when you’re in the treatment room giving facials, you’re talking with your client who comes in on a regular basis, you’re finding out if they’re using other products and why their skin is this way and there just became a point where new people came in for a facial and just said ‘Hi, I have sensitive skin please don’t mess it up.’ I realized, they don’t have sensitive skin, it’s sensitized by the products they’re using…I’m hands on and I have relationships with my end consumer. So when I go and create new products, It’s with that connection in mind. Along with trust and respect, for the women and men that I’m helping.” (Caglia).
Angela is so passionate about skin health and her brand and speaks about how much it means to her that consumers have the right information regarding their skin before products as well as what will help them target their skin issues and overall health of the skin.
