Avocado Oil May Be the Winter Warrior Keeping Your Skin Nourished This Holiday, Ft. Avoila
Grace and Kristy decided to leave their careers at advertising agencies to launch Avoila after working in the industry for more than 20 years each. Both had been dealing with various skin issues, which prompted them to want to develop a solution that would benefit their skin types by utilizing premium, nourishing plant-based components.
Avoila Nourishing Face Oil is a mix of plant-based oils that is certified organic and nourishes your face at the cellular level. With ingredients including avocado, rosehip, and Kalahari melon seed oils, it is thin, quickly absorbed, and smells lovely. No matter your age, it will hydrate, rejuvenate, and protect your skin so that it looks and feels its best.

“Clear ingredients are something that people know and love. They know that avocado is a healthy fat and it’s good for them on the inside so it felt like people know the light would go on like ‘oh it’s good for me on the inside it’s going to be good for my skin too’. That makes a whole lot of sense so we kind of hope people have that ‘aha’ moment when we talk about avocado oil and using it on the skin” (Grace).
“We like the idea of a simple skincare routine. You clean your skin; nourish it and you should be good to go. We wanted something that would sort of transcend all of that and that’s why we can have started with the product. When we talk about our product, we don’t think about anti-aging because we want our customers to look the best they can look at any age through good and powerful ingredients. We’re not going backward in time, we’re not anti-aging, we’re aging beautifully and so that’s kind of part of it” (Grace).
“If we feed our skin the nutrients it needs, it will look its best at any age that it is. So, you shouldn’t need a lot of products to layer on to look your best. If you’re using healthy plant-based ingredients, your skin is going to look great” (Kristy).
“It has all of these other oils, and we paired them all together for a good reason to cover off and enhance what avocado oil already does and also to lighten it to make the texture really easily absorbed. We want skincare to be more like self-care. You’re going to care for your skin, but you want to feel good about what you’re using. You want to love what you’re using. When we started reformulating, Christy and I started using when we got to this formulation we were like, ‘ok, this is amazing’, it was really exciting, and we fell in love with the oil and that’s what we want other consumers to do” (Grace).
“The oil should be the cornerstone of your skincare routine; it’ll make a big difference and I think it’s obvious once you start using it” (Grace).
“So, we have a number of other plant-based oils in our product. All are organic which was really important to us because our product is also certified organic on a separate note” (Kristy).
“We worked in advertising and felt like it was extremely important to find the right partner to help us create a beautiful formula based on our ideas and like I said, someone that was willing to educate us along the way. We found the formulator, we had already done extensive research on ingredients, and as Grace has mentioned, avocado oil was our inspiration. We had a master spreadsheet of all the different plant-based oils that we knew we had access to, and we looked at what the benefits were and how they might work together. We talked through that with our chemists and started to formulate” (Kristy).
