Dr. Ben Van Handel, Co-Founder of HERAUXSKIN
This week Ekta talks to Dr. Ben Van Handel, PhD about his scientific work and his brand that he is the Co-Founder of, HERAUXSKIN. Dr. Van Handel is a Stem Cell Biologist who met his partner, Amir Nobakht MD, MBA, in the Biology lab at USC. The research they’ve accomplished together is reducing, inflammaging, and increasing the functionality of stem cells in our joints, which regrows cartilage. Like most incoming college students, Van Handel didn’t know what he wanted to study but fell in love with science and told himself that he wanted to spend his life in that field. “This mission led them to develop HX-1, a molecule that shields stem cells from stressors that fuel the aging process. Once they realized these same technologies could apply to the skin, Heraux was born.” (HERAUXSKIN.COM)
