This week Ekta talks to Dr. Muneeb Shah, DO (Doctorly). Dr. Shah is a dermatology resident and social media’s favorite dermatologist. Shah opens up about his medical school journey and how he has gained the following on social media that he has. “There’s so many people that I’m grateful for, everyday I think, If this person wasn’t in my life or didn’t take a chance on me, like that one person, that one instance, that one moment, I wouldn’t be doing what I am today. I think about that all the time, the butterfly effect of the world.” (Shah). Shah sheds light on the misconceptions of skincare and dermatology, as well as educating us on some frequently asked questions. He also shares some advice for students looking to go into the medical field, “I always tell people, what’s meant to happen, will happen. You’ve got to believe in yourself, If it doesn’t work out perfectly the first time like me, you can switch. Whatever’s meant to be ends up working out for people.” (Shah).
