Dr. Rebecca Marcus, MD FAAD Discusses The Role of Minimizing Your Skincare Routine, Podcast Summary
In this episode, Ekta sits with Dr. Rebecca Marcus, Broad Certified Dermatologist & Founder of MAEIMD Serum 6, to discuss her journey into the skin care industry, which began as a young girl suffering issues with severe acne.
“I also recall my experience with skincare products as a young girl, looking for just the right thing that would save my life, I kind of felt it was at the time. And feeling that things that were prescribed by doctors, you sort of had to choose at that time between something that was aesthetically appealing and effective.” (Marcus).
From her experience that she felt it was her duty to help others combat skin issues so that they may be comfortable in their skin and build their confidence!
“I really felt that it was my calling to really address that issue, understanding that people, whether they suffer from acne or rosacea and a racking number of conditions. Everyone needs and deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin and know how much that really affects all of us.” (Marcus).
Dr. Marcus strongly believes in the power of the skin in our lives and knows that it is the gateway to understanding the ins and outs of the body.
“You hear the expression, ‘the eyes are the window to the soul’, and I know that the skin is the window to the body and what’s going on inside. So, when we look at the skin, we can really tell what’s going on internally.” (Marcus).
