Joshua Onysko, Founder and CEO of Pangea Brands, Podcast Summary
This week Ekta talks to Joshua Onysko, the Founder and CEO of Pangea. Pangea’s main message is #BeautyUnpolluted. Joshua’s vision was to create a brand that created products that had the power to bring people from all around the world together. “The reason the company is called Pangea, is because it is bringing the world back together through a product that is good for people and good for the planet.” (Onysko). Joshua came up with the idea by traveling the world, during his long trip, he stopped in Rhode Island to visit his parents, “My mom had bought a coffee table book on how to make handmade soap, like most people I had no idea what soap was made of. I read the book and I thought to myself, it’s really interesting that you can make soap from ingredients you can buy at the store.” (Onysko). His traveling experience had made such an impact on his life and he “developed relationships with organic farmers to begin creating a fully sustainable ecosystem of ingredient sourcing standards.” (Pangeaorganics.com).
“I wanted to start a company that helped empower farms and at the time it was very specifically organic farms in developing countries, and I started a soap company to do that.” (Onysko). His brand and his story are two exceptional things that we want to highlight here at Skincare Anarchy.
