This week Ekta talks to Karen Chambers, Executive VP of Impala Inc/IMAN Cosmetics and a CEW board member. Along with her VP title, she is also an author, a writer, an editor, a business strategist and an inclusivity and diversity advocate. She also lectures nationally at universities
and conferences and serves as an international brand advisor to corporate and nonprofit
organizations. She’s very passionate about inclusivity and feels that as a topic, it can’t be a trend and it has to be more in-depth towards all different cultures, not just having a wide shade range.
CEW is a board that stands for Cosmetic Executive Women. “The CEW Board is composed of the most powerful women in the beauty and related industries, reflecting the composition of the CEW membership. Board members act as ambassadors within their companies and the greater beauty industry, and also as advisers to the organization to ensure its success.” (cew.org). Chambers talks at length about her success and her experiences throughout her decades in this industry, and at the forefront of her passion, is advancing women’s leadership and multicultural education towards equality and equity.
