Marisa Auciello, VP of Sales at Europerfumes & Industry Acclaimed Fragrance Expert, Podcast Summary
This week we celebrate our 300th episode with a new series, “Fragrance Friday,” where Ekta talks to Marisa Auciello, Vice President of Sales at Europerfumes & Industry Acclaimed Fragrance Expert! Marisa loves the world of fragrance and believes in the importance of what makes a brand stand out to the public. She always gravitated toward the New York lifestyle and went to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Through that time, she fell in love with the world of fashion and beauty and moved on to start her career at Conde Nast in the sales department of Brides Magazine. One day she was introduced to the editor’s beauty closet and would go on to work in the sales department of a perfume company leading up to her eight-year journey with Europerfumes. She understands the effects that great fragrance can have on the feeling of a room to an individual’s confidence.
“Everything from the color of your skin to the foods that you eat, to your environment, to if you’re a smoker: all of these things are going to come through in your fragrance.” (Auciello).
Marisa not only discusses the mission of Europerfumes and the amount of care they put into each fragrance, but she also points out what everyone should look for when it comes to finding a scent that not only makes the smell good but feels good.
“Some people are really like, oh, I don’t want to tell my friends what my scent is because I don’t want everyone smelling that way. But hardly anyone is going to smell the same in a fragrance because it marries with your chemistry.” (Auciello).
