Paul Baek, Founder and CEO of Matter of Fact Skincare Podcast Summary
This week Ekta talks to Paul Baek, the Founder and CEO of MATTER OF FACT Skincare. Paul has a backgrund in science and beauty, growing up with a mom who got her Ph.D in Chemistry and a dad who opened his own beauty supply store, Paul was destined to get involved in the beauty industry. Paul talks about his passion for beauty as well as his passion for music, he signed a record deal for five years in South Korea. During his time there, he spent a lot of time going through the motions of upkeep when it came to beauty, including seeing his dermatologist sometimes multiple times a week, in order to stay “camera ready”. Paul has done many other things in his life including attending Harvard University and Business School.
Those experiences helped Paul to create his brand into what it is today. His Skincare brand is all about the importance of ingredients and he wants their consumers to know exactly what they’re using, as do the consumers want to know what they’re using. He goes on to talk about a bunch more, including the long process of getting a formula exactly right which takes time and concentration but he’s prouder than ever at what he’s put out into the beauty market.
