What is a JetPeel Facial?

A JetPeel Facial is an FDA-approved high-tech rejuvenation experience that utilizes a jet stream of pressurized air and liquid (such as peptides, vitamins, and acids) to provide multiple aesthetic and longevity benefits. Unlike invasive treatments that include needles and harsh chemicals, the JetPeel Facial uses neither and is suitable for all skin types.

How It Works

With a specialized handpiece, a facialist uses jet propulsion technology to apply pressurized, 100% oxygenated air and a micro-droplet steam of active ingredients to skin tissue. The force produced by the jet stream opens up microchannels without puncturing or damaging the skin. It is through these microchannels that the active ingredients travel through the skin — reaching up to 200 m/s, the JetPell mixture can break through the surface layer and penetrate the dermis- the second-most deepest layer of the skin. All without needles or downtime.

Skin Benefits of JetPeel

  • Exfoliation without abrasiveness
  • Needle-free and painless infusion
  • Deep penetration improves hydration
  • Currents from the jet stream stimulate lymphatic drainage and boost blood circulation
  • Aesthetics: reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, brightens dull skin, smooths rough skin, extracts acne and clogged pores
  • Extremely customizable for various skin concerns

What to Expect

  • Time: 60–90 minutes
  • Sensation: cool, wet, and refreshing — like a gentle breeze on your skin
  • Down time: none
  • Recommendations: 3–6 treatments
  • Results: immediate radiance and cumulative results of over time

Other Benefits of JetPeel

Aside from the numerous positives JetPeel can have for the skin, this groundbreaking technology can do wonders for the hair and scalp. A study finds found that JetPeels may be more productive in the delivery of minoxidil for patients treating baldness than regular topical application.

A Word of Caution

When performed by a licensed provider, JetPeel Facials carry little-to-no risk. However, when performed by unauthorized practitioners, JetPells can result in cellulitis. In cases of extreme sensitivity or reaction to infused ingredients, JetPeels can lead to pain, redness, swelling in the skin and lymph nodes, infection, and the formation of cysts as well as pustules, though there isn’t any current research pointing to any frequency in these effects.

JetPeel Versus Other Facials

HydraFacial: HydraFacial uses a hypodermic vortex suction module to chemically and physically exfoliate the skin as well as clean out clogged pores and acne. This method only penetrates into the upper dermic and can lead to potential redness.

DiamondGlow Facial: Similarly to HydraFacials, DiamondGlow Facials employs a vacuum-tipped device, but instead uses a diamond-shaped tip to fit more easily in the crevices of the face. This method also exfoliates the skin chemically and physically, but leads to more redness and only treats the outermost layer of the skin.

Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion is a very effective method of physical exfoliation that uses a rough-tipped wand to slough ailing skin on the very surface of the skin. While it is one of the most common methods of treating aging, melasma, and scars, it is also one of the most aggressive.

Takeaway

Noninvasive and refreshing, the JetPeel Facial offers customized treatments that sink deep into the skin and can even aid in hair regrowth. JetPeels are generally safe for all skin types and offer targeted benefits with a gentle but deep clean.
