This week Ekta talks to Terri Vinson, Author, Keynote Speaker, Australian Scientist, and Founder of Synergie Skin. Vinson is dedicated to making people feel their best, feel informed and making them feel confident in their skincare knowledge. “I know what dosages work, and I can make it myself. I think being a female scientist in this world is a really big plus for the skincare industry, and having total control over everything.” (Vinson). She formulates her own line of active cosmeceuticals and intelligent mineral makeup all in accordance with her trademarked ‘Clean Science’ philosophy. “It made me a bit fearless, having to drive my way forward and not take the world by storm on day one, and I realized it’s a slow burn.” (Vinson). Vinson has earned numerous diplomas including a Bachelor of Science (Immunology & Microbiology), a postgraduate Diploma of Formulating Chemistry, a Diploma of Education (Biology & Senior Science) and she is a member of the ASCC (Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists). She is a world renowned and recognized formulator and a lecturer in her field. “I wanted to do Science. I wanted a career in Science, and my dad said ‘do what you want to do’. So I pursued a career in Science, but I also had this tug for the beauty industry and connecting with people.” (Vinson)
